Overview:
Accurate field mapping ensures that each column in your source file populates the correct customer attribute in Laywork.
Steps:
After uploading your file, examine the Field Mapping screen.
For any unmapped column, click its dropdown and select the matching customer field (e.g., “Email,” “Phone”).
Use the Preview panel to verify that sample rows align correctly.
If you have custom fields, ensure they’re created in Laywork beforehand so they appear in the mapping list.
Once satisfied, click Confirm Mapping to proceed.
Tips & Best Practices:
Rename ambiguous headers in your spreadsheet to exactly match Laywork’s field names.
Save your mapping configuration if you frequently import similar files.
Preview at least 10–20 rows to ensure consistency across your dataset.
