Overview:
When a project is finished, archive it to remove it from active views but retain its data—or delete it permanently if no longer needed.
Steps to Archive:
From Work → Projects, locate the project row.
Click Action (⋮) → Archive.
Confirm—archived projects move to the Archived filter view.
Steps to Delete:
Switch to the Archived view via Filters → Status = Archived.
Click Action (⋮) → Delete on the project.
Type DELETE in the confirmation prompt and click Confirm.
Tips & Best Practices:
Archive rather than delete whenever possible to preserve history for reporting.
Schedule quarterly clean‑ups to archive projects older than 6–12 months.
Export a final snapshot (via Export) before deleting for compliance.
Troubleshooting / FAQs:
Archive option not visible: Check you have “Delete Projects” or “Edit Projects” permission.
Project still appears in active list: Refresh filters or clear browser cache.
Cannot delete archived project: Ensure there are no linked tasks or invoices—remove those first.
