Common Errors & Fixes
“Invalid file format”: Ensure you upload CSV or XLSX, not XLS.
“Required field missing”: Check your template includes all required columns (e.g., name, customer_id for updates).
“Mapping conflict”: Confirm no two columns map to the same Laywork field.
“Export permission denied”: Ask an admin to grant your role the Export Customers right under Settings → Roles & Permissions.
Tips
Try downloading and re‑saving your file from Excel or Google Sheets to strip hidden formatting.
Review import logs for row‑level errors and correct them before retrying.
