How to Capture Leads via SMS Integration

Overview
Let prospects text a keyword to your SMS number and have their details automatically captured as leads in Laywork.

Procedure

1. Set up an SMS provider (e.g. Twilio) and purchase a dedicated number.

2. In Settings → Integrations → SMS, enter your provider credentials and number.

3. Define a Keyword (e.g. “QUOTE”) and map incoming fields:

   • From → Phone

   • Body → Notes or a custom field

4. Choose a Default Lead Source (SMS) and Deal Agent if desired.

5. Save. When someone texts “QUOTE” to your number, Laywork creates a new Lead Contact with their phone number and message.

Tips

• Promote your SMS lead line on ads (“Text QUOTE to 12345”).

• Include an auto‑reply confirming receipt and next steps.

• Use SMS only for opt‑in audiences to comply with local regulations.
