Ensuring every lead has a clear owner keeps follow‑ups timely and accountability high. You can assign ownership on creation or reassign at any time.
Steps
Navigate to Leads → Lead Contact.
Open the lead’s detail view.
Click the Owner dropdown at the top.
Select a new team member or role.
Click Save—the new owner receives a notification.
Tips
Use round‑robin assignment when adding new leads to balance workload.
Reassign stale leads (no activity in 7 days) to a follow‑up specialist.
Document ownership changes in a note for audit trails.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Owner dropdown not editable: Check that your role has “Edit Lead Owner” permission.
No notification sent: Verify the new owner has portal access and email notifications enabled.
Bulk reassignment needed: Select multiple leads, then use Bulk Actions → Change Owner.
