Overview
Tags and custom fields let you capture unique lead attributes—industry, product interest, urgency—so you can segment and report more precisely.
Steps
Define your custom fields under Settings → Custom Fields → Lead.
In a lead’s detail view, locate the Tags and Custom Fields section.
Add or edit tags by typing and pressing Enter.
Fill in custom‑field values (dropdowns, dates, text).
Click Save.
Tips
Reserve tags for ad‑hoc labels (e.g. “Hot Lead”) and custom fields for structured data (e.g. “Deal Size”).
Use filters on the Lead Contact list to segment by custom‑field values and tags.
Keep your custom‑field list lean—no more than 5–7 to avoid form fatigue.

Custom field not showing: Ensure it’s enabled and visible under Lead Form Settings.
Tag auto‑suggest not working: Confirm you haven’t exceeded your tag limit in Settings.
Filtering yields no results: Check spelling and case; tag filters are case‑sensitive.
