Overview
If a lead or deal was deleted in error, you can restore it from the recycle bin (soft‑deleted records) within a limited time window.
Procedure
Go to Settings → System → Data Recovery (or Recycle Bin).
Select the Leads or Deals tab.
Locate the record by name, email, or deletion date.
Click Restore next to the item.
Confirm—your lead/deal returns to its original state, including notes, tasks, and history.
Tips
Act quickly—most systems purge recycle‑bin items after 30 days.
Restore parent leads before restoring their child deals to maintain relationships.
Notify affected reps once restoration is complete.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Record not in recycle bin: Check the date range; permanent deletions (beyond the retention window) cannot be recovered.
Partial data missing after restore: Some attachments or notes might not be recoverable if they exceeded size limits; re‑upload those manually.
No access to Data Recovery: Ensure your user role has “Restore Records” permission under Settings → Roles & Permissions.
