Field‑level permissions let you hide or make custom fields read‑only for certain roles, ensuring sensitive data is protected.
Step‑by‑Step Instructions
In Settings → Roles & Permissions, select the Role you want to adjust.
Switch to the Custom Fields tab.
You’ll see all your custom fields—use the dropdown next to each to select Hidden, Read‑Only, or Editable for this role.
Click Save.
Now, users with that role can only see or edit the fields you allowed.
Tips
Combine with dependent fields to show sensitive fields only to managers.
Audit your permissions regularly as your team structure changes.
