Overview
You can leverage custom fields as triggers or conditions in your automated workflows—e.g., sending an email when a custom “Onboarding Status” field changes.
Step‑by‑Step Instructions
Go to Settings → Automations.
Click + New Workflow.
Under Trigger, choose Field Changed, then select your custom field.
Under Condition, you can refine (e.g., only when value = “Completed”).
Configure your Action (Send Email, Create Task, etc.).
Save and Activate your workflow.
From now on, any change to that custom field will kick off your automation.

Test with a dummy record before enabling on live data.
Combine multiple field‑change triggers to build multi‑step automations.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Workflow doesn’t fire.
Check that your trigger field is on the form/page you’re editing.
