Overview
To record raises, bonuses, or one‑off adjustments, use the Update Salary workflow. This preserves history and recalculates monthly/annual pay.
Step‑by‑Step Instructions
In HR → Payroll → Employee Salary, click the ⋮ Action menu in the employee’s row and choose Edit.
In the Update Salary dialog:
Value Type: select Increment (for a raise) or Override to reset their salary.
Annual Increment Amount: enter the raise amount.
Increment Date: pick the effective date.
The system displays their New Effective Annual/Monthly Gross Salary—verify.
Click Save; the update is applied and stored in their salary history.
Tips
Schedule annual increments in bulk by filtering to your whole department and iterating quickly.
Use Override sparingly for corrections; prefer Increment to maintain clear audit trails.
