Overview
A Pay Code ties a label and calculation rule to an overtime policy (e.g. “1.5× Hourly Rate”). You must create one before defining policies.
Step‑by‑Step Instructions
Navigate to Payroll → Overtime Settings → Pay Code.
Click Add New Pay Code.
In the modal:
Enter a unique Pay Code (numeric or alphanumeric).
Give it a Name (e.g. “Time‑and‑a‑Half”).
Choose Overtime calculation:
× hourly pay (e.g. enter “1.5” for 1.5× rate), or
Fixed amount per overtime hour.
(Optional) Add a Description.
Click Save. The code appears in your list.
Tips
Keep your code names consistent with local labor laws (e.g. “Weekend OT”).
Use fixed‑amount codes for flat‑rate call‑out fees.

Code name duplicates
Pay Codes must be unique; edit or delete the old one before reusing.
Calculation not applying
