Overview
If your card or bank transfer fails, Laywork will retry and notify you so you can keep your subscription active.
Failure Scenarios
Card Declined (expired, insufficient funds)
Offline Payment Not Received by due date
Automatic Retries
Laywork automatically retries card charges up to three times over 72 hours.
If all attempts fail, your account will enter a 7‑day grace period.
What to Do Next
Update your payment method: Settings > Billing > Purchase History tab → click Update Payment on the failed transaction.
For offline payments, upload proof in Settings > Billing > Offline Request.
Once payment is successful, your subscription remains uninterrupted.
Troubleshooting
If retries continue to fail, contact your bank to authorize the charge.
Accounts suspended after the grace period can be reactivated by settling the outstanding invoice.
