Overview
Move a draft invoice to Sent status and monitor payment progress.
Steps
From Finance > Invoices, locate your draft in the list.
Click the “•••” action menu and choose Send.
Review email template, modify message if needed, and click Send Invoice.
The invoice status changes to Unpaid (Not Sent) then Unpaid (Sent) once emailed.
Track payment under Status:
Unpaid (awaiting payment)
Partially Paid (partial funds received)
Overdue (past due date)
Paid (fully settled)
Tips
Schedule automatic reminders in Settings > Finance Settings to nudge overdue invoices.
Use the Export button to download a CSV of sent invoices for your records.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: Client didn’t receive the invoice email.
A: Check your SMTP settings under Settings > Email and spam folder.
Q: Status never updates to Paid.
A: Record the payment manually under Finance > Payments.
