How to Customize Credit Note Prefix and Numbering

Overview
Control how your credit notes are numbered to match your company’s formatting.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Finance Settings → Prefix Settings.

2. Locate Credit Note Prefix section.

3. Edit the Prefix, Separator, and Digits.

4. View the Example on the right.

5. Click Save.

Tips

• Keep prefix short (e.g. “CN”) for readability.

• Increment digits (e.g. 4) if you issue many credit notes monthly.

• Q: New numbering not applied retroactively.
