Overview
Offset a client’s outstanding balance by applying a credit note directly to their invoice.
Steps
Go to Finance → Invoices and open the target invoice.
Click Apply Credit Note (button on invoice detail).
Select one or more credit notes.
Enter the Amount to apply.
Click Confirm.
Tips
Partial application is allowed; leftover credit remains for future invoices.
The invoice status will update automatically (e.g. Partially Paid, Paid).

A: Ensure there is at least one unused credit note for this client.
