Overview
Automate repeated costs—rent, subscriptions, or utility bills—so Laywork generates them on schedule without manual entry.
Steps
Go to Finance → Expenses and click Recurring Expenses.
Select the Recurring Expenses tab, then click + Add Recurring Expense.
Complete the form:
Item Name, Currency, Price, Employee/Project, Category, Purchased From
Upload a sample Bill if desired.
Under Billing Frequency, choose Daily/Weekly/Monthly/etc.
Set Start Date (or check Immediate start).
Enter Total Count (number of cycles; –1 for infinite).
Click Save.
Tips
Use Immediate start to generate the first expense right away.
Set Total Count to –1 for ongoing subscriptions.

Q: Recurring expense didn’t generate today.
A: Check that the status is Approved and the start date matches.
Q: How do I stop future cycles?
A: Edit the recurring expense and set Total Count to the number already generated.
