How to Edit or Delete an Existing Tax Rate

Overview
Modify or remove tax rates as regulations change.

Steps

1. Go to Settings > Tax Settings.

2. Locate the rate row and click Edit or Delete under Action.

3. For edits, update name or rate and click Save.

4. For deletes, confirm the prompt.

Tips

• Before deleting a rate, search your invoices for any that used it, to avoid orphaned records.

• Consider deactivating (by editing rate to 0%) instead of deleting if you need historical consistency.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

• Q: Delete button is disabled.

  • A: You cannot delete a rate that’s already applied on existing invoices; set rate to 0% instead.

• Q: Edit isn’t taking effect.

  • A: Refresh the page; browser caching can sometimes delay UI updates.
