How to Schedule Recurring Report Exports (via Cron)

Overview
Automatically generate and email selected finance reports on a schedule.

Steps

1. Ensure your server’s cron job is configured (see Module Settings > Cron).

2. In Settings > Report Settings, locate the report you want to schedule.

3. Set frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) and recipient emails.

4. Save—your system will email CSVs according to schedule.

Tips

• Schedule monthly Finance Reports to your CFO on the 1st of each month.

• Use weekly Expense Reports for your accounting team every Monday.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

• Q: I never receive the scheduled report.

  • A: Verify your cron daemon is running and that SMTP settings are correct.

• Q: Reports arrive late or duplicated.

  • A: Check your cron frequency expressions to avoid overlap.
