Tracking Inventory for Goods

Overview
When you enable inventory tracking on a product, Laywork updates “Stock On Hand” automatically based on purchase orders, bills, and vendor payments.

Steps

1. In Add Products, check Track Inventory for this Item.

2. Save the product.

3. Create purchase orders and receive bills against this product to increase stock.

4. Create sales orders or invoice to clients to reduce stock.

Tips

• Only enable inventory on physical goods, not services.

• Regularly reconcile “Stock On Hand” with your warehouse counts.

Troubleshooting

• Stock remains “–”? You haven’t received any bills against this product yet.

• Cannot disable tracking? Delete all related PO and invoice transactions first.
