Configuring Product Numbering and Units

Overview
Set default SKU prefixes, number padding, and define the unit types used across purchase and inventory.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Purchase Settings → Purchase Settings tab.

2. Under Purchase Order Prefix, adjust prefix/separator/digits for POs (affects SKU auto‑numbering if used).

3. Under Unit Type Settings (in Module Settings), add or remove units (e.g. Pcs, kg, Hours).

4. Save changes.

Tips

• Standardize unit types (e.g. always “Pcs” not “pcs”) to avoid filter mismatches.

• Include unit in SKU naming convention for clarity.

Troubleshooting

• New unit type not in dropdown? Reload the Add Product form.

• SKU collisions after prefix change? Manually adjust existing SKUs or increase digit count.
