Overview:
When you need to change the status of many leads at once—say, marking a batch as “Contacted” after a campaign—you can use Laywork’s bulk edit feature to save time and ensure consistency.
Steps:
Go to Leads & Deals → Leads.
Use the filters (Owner, Date Range, Source, etc.) to narrow down the list of leads you want to update.
Click the checkbox at the top of the list to select all leads on the current page (or individually select specific leads).
Click Bulk Actions → Edit.
In the bulk edit modal, choose Status and select the new status value (e.g., “Contacted,” “Qualified”).
Click Apply to update all selected leads.
Tips & Best Practices:
Preview your selection before bulk editing: check the count at the top to make sure you’re updating the right leads.
Use filters effectively: combine multiple criteria to target exactly the segment you intend (e.g., “Leads created last week” + “Owner = Alice”).
Communicate changes: let your team know when a large batch of statuses changes so they can follow up appropriately.
Troubleshooting / FAQs:
Bulk edit option is disabled: Ensure you have “Edit Leads” permission in your role settings.
Some leads didn’t update: Check that they were actually selected—bulk edits apply only to selected records.
Incorrect status applied: Use the bulk edit history (Audit Logs) to see which leads were updated and revert individual records if needed.
