Overview
Manage the list of reasons (e.g. “Damage,” “Theft,” “Cycle Count”) to standardize inventory records.
Steps
In Add Inventory, click the Reason dropdown then Add.
Enter a new reason name and save.
The new reason appears in the dropdown for all future adjustments.
Tips
Predefine reasons under Settings → Custom Fields → Inventory Reasons for consistency.
Limit reasons to a manageable list (5–10) to simplify reporting.
Troubleshooting
New reason not showing? Refresh the page or re-open the modal.
Cannot delete a reason? Reasons used in existing adjustments cannot be removed—create a new reason and avoid using the old one.
