How to Add a New Asset

Overview
Record any company‑owned item—laptops, furniture, tools—in Laywork so you can track assignment, status, and value.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Assets → Add New Asset.

  2. Fill in Asset Name (e.g. “Dell XPS 13”).

  3. Select or Add an Asset Type (e.g. Tech, Vehicle).

  4. Enter required fields: Serial Number, Value, Location.

  5. Choose current Status (Available, Lent, Lost, Damaged, Under Maintenance).

  6. (Optional) Upload an Asset Picture and add a Description.

  7. Click Save.
