Manage Asset Types and Settings

Overview
Define categories (Asset Types) for tracking company assets (laptops, furniture, vehicles) and control lending statuses.

Steps

1. Go to Assets → Asset Settings.

2. Click Add Asset Type, enter a name (e.g., “Tech”).

3. Save.

4. Under Settings → Asset Settings, adjust lending rules and status options if available.

Tips

• Pre‑define common types so users select rather than free‑type, ensuring consistency.

• Archive unused types by deleting them here.

Troubleshooting

• Asset Type not in dropdown: Refresh the Assets page or check permissions for “Add Asset Type.”

• Cannot delete type: Ensure no existing assets are assigned that type.
