Searching Within a Conversation

Overview
Quickly locate a past message in a long thread by searching for keywords.

Steps

1. While in a conversation, press Ctrl+F (Windows) or ⌘+F (Mac).

2. In the browser’s find bar, enter your keyword (e.g., “proposal”).

3. The thread highlights each match—use the up/down arrows to jump between.

Tips

• Use unique terms (e.g. invoice number) to narrow down results.

• For broader searches across all chats, use the global Type to search contact field to find the right conversation first.

Troubleshooting / FAQs

• Q: Find doesn’t highlight older messages.
  A: Scroll up until older messages load, then search again.

• Q: I can’t locate a message I know I sent.
  A: It may have been deleted—check with the recipient or review your Message Settings ▶ History in admin.
