Overview
Control who can chat with whom and whether you receive sound alerts on new messages.
Steps
Go to Settings → Message Settings.
Toggle Allow chat between client and employees? and Allow chat between client and admin?
Under Send Sound Notification Alert, choose Yes or No.
Click Save.
Tips
Turn off sound alerts during meetings to avoid disruptions.
Limit client chat to project members only by selecting Only project members can chat with client.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: I still hear sounds after disabling.
A: Clear your browser cache and refresh—some settings require a reload.
Q: Clients can’t message me.
A: Ensure “Allow chat between client and employees” is checked and client has an active project membership.
