Overview
Admins can restrict who is allowed to message clients or other employees to maintain communication boundaries.
Steps
Go to Settings → Message Settings.
Under chat permissions, select:
All (everyone can chat)
Only project members (restricts client chats)
Click Save.
Tips
Enforce “Only project members” during client pilots or when working under NDAs.
Combine with IP restrictions under Security Settings for extra control.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Q: Changes aren’t taking effect.
A: Role-based overrides may exist—check in Settings → Module Settings → Roles & Permissions.
Q: Some users still see disabled options.
A: They may have elevated roles (Admin, Owner) exempt from these settings.
